Default D17a2 swapped 91 civic hatchback

Hello everyone sorry if this has allready been covered but I have replaced the d16a6 with a d17a2 and have the engine in the car and turning over but have no spark I am running the complete d17 engine harness with ecu and beleve the problem is am having is that the ecu is not turning on I am wondering if and how I'm going to run some kind of keyed power to tell the ecu to turn on all help very appreciated thank you all

The D17 ECU runs an immobilizer system. If you don't have a paired immobilizer trim ring, matching key, and paired ECU, it won't start.

It would have spark still wouldn't it i thought that just shut down the fuel pump

It wouldn't have spark if the ECU isn't triggering an accepted immobilizer signal.
