Default HOW to fix timing on d15b7

I already knew my timing was way off because I forgot to mark the tdc when I took the head off and the car now cranks but doesn’t start it makes a boggling type noise now. What’s an easy way to fix the timing because I hear it’s easy on this motor.

Take the upper timing cover off and line up the marks. If you need to adjust the belt, you can loosen the tensioner pulley through a hole in the lower cover which has a plastic plug in it.

It's always a good idea to TDC the engine before taking apart, then you can look at the marks and understand how to set it back in time after putting the head back on. There's no need to mark anything, the factory has already marked the parts.

If you cranked the engine while the cam was seriously out of time, there is a chance that the valves were damaged. So if it still doesn't start after setting it in time, do a compression test.
