I have a 2001 Honda Civic lx coupe.
my mechanic said i need to replace the drivers side OPDS unit.
how do you know it' not he passenger side. Also is there two units In my honda and two sensors or one unit and two sensors, one for each seat? Any ideas on best method to remove the unit or 'll k to video so i can watch? Also reseting the the electrical so the srs light doesnt keep coming on because of the unit or senso? Thanks for helling in advance. Im a car noob...

 

Ive had my 2001 SiG seat apart completely and didnt notice any opds. Is the seat belt buckle dirty and turning the srs light on?

 

There is only one OPDS unit and it is in the passenger seat.

This link has the information on replacement of the unit if you want to replace it yourself. The 2001's extended warranty would have expired though.
