Acura to civic swap
1997 Acura Integra GSR 1.8 C5 5 speed manual into a 2000 Civic EX 1.6 Vtec 5 speed. Besides the entire powertrain, harness and ecu what do we need to make it work? I've been told one car is OBDI and the other OBDII, is that a problem as well, no emissions testing here
Quit listening to the idiots who are telling you wrong information, OP. Obviously you sound like you're not mechanically inclined so I would suggest paying someone to do the swap.

I think you can reuse your harness, but you may need a jumper harness to plug the Integra ECU into your harness inside the car. (If there's no emissions to work around, you could run a chipped OBD1 ECU, but I didn't say that because that's technically still illegal. Lol)
Other than that, you may need the axles from the Integra and maybe the proper "T" bracket that connects the trans to the subframe.
This ain't a hard swap.
Ok thank you for the information. And to the individual that stated that I may want to pay someone to do the swap because it doesn't sound like I'm "mechanically inclined". My mother always said if you don't have anything nice to say keep your pie hole shut. Your assumption of my mechanical ability is interesting. You are correct, I only have 28 years experience working in dealerships and independent shops, and none in your parents driveway, which is probably more experience than you have breathing air on this earth. Education wise I only have a meesley AAS degree in Automotive Technology, and 19 current ASE certifications. ASE Master Auto Tech A1-A8 (since 1991), ASE Master Heavy Truck Tech T1-T8, ASE L1,L2 Advanced Engine Performance, 609 MVAC.
