My daily driver 88 civ hb is sputtering and surging at all RPMs. It feels like it's missing on almost a rythm. I've changed out the o2 sensor, coil (put in a blaster 2 and MSD 6a), and igniter. What else could it be? I'm at a total loss and it's getting worse.

 

Are you getting a check engine light? If so what is the code?

 

Check the grounds....all of them!!! and then check them again!!!

Check your cap and rotor. If your rotor is loose it will sputter and even stall. If this is ok then you may want to check for a spark on all cylinders

 

unplug your ecu and let it sit for 30 sec... sometimes works
