Just came back from a week long business trip and now I cannot enter my Honda Civic EX-L 2012.

- None of the buttons on the key FOB works (no trunk, no doors, no alert)
- Sticked the key in the key hole and twisted one side or the other, but the door won't unlock. (there is no sound that I usually hear when I unlock)
- Cannot get in the car therefore I can't open the hood even though I want to recharge the battery ..

Please help

 

Try the key in the trunk lock and see if you can't get in that way. Otherwise, have you tried all doors with the key?

 

Problem solved:

It turned out it was the dead car battery. I called the Honda dealer they said physical key should unlock the door but it did not. I called AAA and they lock-smithed it open, not by pressing the unlock button but pulling the handle from inside. Once I got inside the car, I released the hood so I could open it and jump the battery.

It is still unknown why I could not unlock the door with the physical key.
