B18C5 obd2a swap into my EJ9 2000 chassis
I think i posted my question to a wrong thread so im here now )
It's time to swap B18C5 into my EJ9 2000 (OBD2B, D14Z2). So i have full swap kit and i want to get it off easy (concern to wiring). As I understand i need OBD2B to OBD2A adapter? Then i will have to throw over my underhood wires with vtec/kick/etc connectors?

Can i, for example, get the B connector and repin all of my A C D (obd2b) connectors to A B C (obd2a) (i found very helpfull manual on this forum, thnx to author). I also consider the way with conversion harness.
After reading some helpfull stuff here (forum) I came to a conclusion i will need knock and vtec connectors carried out from underhood to cabin ecu. Am i right?
I want to use mine (obd2b).

edit: also need to figure out where the iat sensor is and run that too. GL
Many thanks. B18C5 engine Spec96 has no vtec oil pressure, so i dont need to run it.

You may also need a distributor conversion harness. When I did my swap, JDM b18c 98Spec into a 2000 USDM EJ6, I needed a 10pin to 8pin distributor harness. RYWIRE sells them.

It looks like you are installing a 96 spec JDM B18C with a 98/99 spec JDM ECU. Make sure you read up on this before cutting/splicing wires as it will be a slightly different install than a USDM B18C5. I have recently bought a hatch with this same setup JDM 98 spec (OBD2a) into a 99 Dx (OBD2b) without a conversion harness (was probably installed before conversion harnesses came out) unfortunately, I have't gotten to the point where I've been able to look at the wiring and see what had to be done to make it work.
S2k@9K, after surfing forums and other sources i found that P73-003 is a Spec96 jdm ecu, when P73-013 is a Spec98 ecu. Anyway, sure, i will read more about it. I started to find it out only a week ago )

I was thinking my 98 had the 003, but, it's the 013.
A month has passed, awaiting for B18C5 arrival and collecting more information about swap (many things are becoming clear
) and i have one more unresolved question: will my D14Z2 AC lines fits the B series AC compressor? Will i need to replace them all or part of them?
Updated:
So i found that my D AC lines will not fits B series AC comp. and i will be forced to use B series AC lines in case of B series compressor or use del sol / crv bracket (Del Sol: 38930-P30-000 CRV: 38930-P7J-000) to fit my D comp. The best way for me is to buy a bracket and use my lines with my compressor. So for now question is: is that normal to use D AC compressor with B18C5 torque moment?

Can you guys tell me one more thing: does ECU intersects with ABS system? I.e. P73-003 is from non ABS chasis, but my contains one. Will i loose abs after replacing the ECU?
Not directly. The dominating input is the wheel speed sensors at each corner to tell the ABS computer when to intervene. Vehicle speed is used, but that signal is provided by all ECU's, so you don't have to worry.
Questions are still coming )
This one about O2 OBD2a primary sensor. Cant find two other pins (obd2a has 4pin O2 sensor am i right?) according to this. The 2 pins ive found are pin6 on connector A and pin7 on connector D

D14Z2 uses SFi I believe and uses a weird harness, ECU, etc. You're best off trying to find an '99 - '00 Civic that had an MPFI engine and get the underdash and engine harness from it.
The only way you can use the OBD2A engine harness you have is to swap the underdash harness to a '96 - '98 OBD2A harness.
