Default Determine LSD Type Without Opening Trans

Is there a way to determine the type of LSD that is on a transmission without opening the transmission case?

I recently put in a JDM B18C R motor in my civic. I assume everything is stock so I put in Honda MTF. As I slowly pull out of the driveway, I hear a loud grinding noise and chatter when I turn the steering to the right. I changed my axles, lower ball point and wheel bearing but the grinding and chatter continues. Which lead me to believe its my transmission or LSD. On a few threads people have described very similar symptoms. Since this is a motor from Japan who knows what LSD on there. I guess I could just put in some clutch type LSD fluid and see if it goes away. Any thoughts, anyone?

Take an axle out and get a good pic of the differential through the axle seal. If it's a clutch type it will jerk/buck while turning along with the noise.
