Default 98 civic hx crank no start

98 civic hx started the car on a really cold morning and drove it about 5 minutes away and shut it off before temp gauge even moved. Whent back a few hours later and it would crank but no start. I'm lost as to why it won't start right now. I'm getting fuel and spark but no start. The only cel code I'm getting is p0133. Anybody have any insight on this ?

Anybody have any insight on this ? I'm not getting rpm signal to the tachometer while its cranking over. And when I turn the key to the on position cel doesnt go out. Would the o2 sensor being on stop the car from starting ? I was thinking the crankshaft position sensor is bad but wouldn't the cel be on ?

+1 on possible bad ECU. If the CEL doesn't cycle off when you turn the key on and don't crank, the ECU is not booting up. Can you read codes from it now? If the OBDII code reader can't link up, the ECU is not running. Also check the ECU grounds before replacing ECU. Bad oxygen sensor will not prevent starting. Also the crank sensor is used only to check the timing belt, the critical timing comes from the sensors in the distributor.
