I recently had a post of a possible motor mount problem, I looked into my car a little harder and what did i see?..... My transmission mount ( not the actual place racing mount) the car mount itself was cracked all the way through on the bottom and top except for 1/2" holding it on. I jacked up the motor and the whole mount moved like it was nothing .. Sorry i should have takin pics of it, it was insane that my motor was still standing. But long story short i took it up to a friends house and he welded the **** out of the mount.. It is now good as new if not better. WOW that was close So now my alternator doesn't rub and my motor mount doesn't make a cracking sound If this happens to anyone..(the ticking/cracking sound) please check the motor mounts before it is too late.
