Should I buy this ej?
Whats up guys, I found a pretty clean teal 94 ej coupe for a good deal but can't decide if I should pull the trigger. I love ej's and am looking to buy one as a commuter and swap donor for a b20v I'm building.
My concers are #1:
Trunk rust. It looks like it had water sitting in the trunk for some time. There wasn't any moisture in the trunk when I looked at it but it was clear that it was sitting under a carport for awhile (suspicious...water leak?). It doesn't look structural but I'm a noob when it comes to this sort of thing. No other rust on the car I could find. If it's just bubbling the paint is it correctable? Will it grow?
#2: the drivers side rear wheel is cambered out (positive camber) maybe 2-3 degrees. The car drivers fine but I could notice the positive tilt. I looked underneath and everything looked fine except for maybe the strut was bent? It was hard to tell without tearing stuff apart and examining things individually. Does this sound like a bent shock/bad alignment? Or something more sinister like it has smacked a curb in the past?
#3: as I understand it, all US 1994 Honda Civic DX coupes came with d15b7 engines. This cars engine code is d15b2. The timing cover however says d15b7...maybe the motor went and it was swapped? The car ran great but who knows how many miles are on the engine? Should I be concerned here?
The asking price is $1800. I don't want to spend that because it will need tires, maybe a strut, and an alignment. And perhaps a trunk seal or something of that sort?
If you were me would you buy it? Only working with about $2k. I'm a new dad of 3 weeks so money is a little on the tight side. Thanks everyone

Has rust, sounds like it has hit a curb, motor swapped. I would walk away, if I had to pay not more than 750 imo.
With these cars, my opinion is find one with a good body \chassis, the motors can be easily replaced\ swapped, but you want to start with a body that hasn't hit anything or is rusted.
