So I purchased a 1999 Honda Prelude (Base) for $100... Clean title. This is my first project car, but I have been a technician at a dealership for just over a year so I've got "some" skills and confidence but I'm worried that this might be a little too much. The kid that owned the car before me claimed he was going to build a "drift" car but the engine (H22A4) had a lifter tick and so he ripped apart half of the engine bay. He overwhelmed himself and decided to take a break and so he began gutting the interior. Not only is absolutely any and everything gone, but he also decided to take some spray paint and go nuts without masking anything off so there is literally over spray and paint dust absolutely everywhere.

My ideal build.. would be to completely restore the car to the point where it can be comfortably street driven, taken to meets / shows, but also either drag race or auto-cross. I am looking to fully build the motor, and turbo. Whether I build the H22 or K/B swap it, is TBD. I understand this will be a very long project and will be costly but I truly engine the building, just as much as I do the driving and have no problem taking my time to do this right. The problem that I'm having, and the reason for this post... is to get advice and support because to be quite honest.. I'm overwhelmed myself. I've got so many questions and concerns that I don't even know where to start.

completely remove every thing. Strip to bare metal. Weld the chassis up. Replace/rebuild everything to OEM+
