Reverse Gear won't click in when cold
Hi all, recently I found a problem in the reverse gear in my CRV 2001.
When the engine just starts with reverse gear, it moves backward slowly; however further accelerate would just increase rev and humming gets loud (just like in Neutral). When parking downhill it's dangerous as it is too weak to reverse.
The problem seems eased if the engine has been running for a while like 3 - 5 minutes. The reverse gear is not smooth but at least I can feel it clicked in and reverse then works.
Any clue on this problem?
I know it may be something I can't fix but I want to know if it is fixable, and worth fixing?
