Just wondering if Honda upgraded the AC for the 2003 model year

 

From what? 2002 would have been the same. There were problems with 02-04 AC compressors failing. 05 parts fixed that problem.

Now you mentioned with 05 parts it was fixed, could you be a bit more specific.

Hi all, I want to be proactive with my AC compressor, my existing one is still functioning but I don't want to wait until it fails requiring much more work and parts.
My 2003 crv has 82,000 miles on it so I think it would pay to take care of it.
I was thinking replacing the existing compressor with an aftermarket one like the following: Do you think this would be a good replacement? Better than Honda new one?
