I need to change the crank seal on my 2008 Civic EX. Does the damper still use the 50 mm tool? I have one for my 1999 civic and I'm wondering if it will work. It's 15 degrees here in NJ and don't want to crawl under the car to measure it. Thanks in advance.

Once I get my FSM manuals for the 8th gen I can check the part number of the special tool for the crank pulley and compare it to the 5th gen.

Until I get my manuals though, I am unable to compare.

Doing a little bit of googling, it is the 50mm hex tool. Still used on the 2011 Odessey as well as Acura's, Civics etc etc.

It does not appear to have changed for the 8th gen civic. Even on 2004 V6 Accord.
