hey guys, I’m trying to find out why my car idles up and down when I give it gas. I’m really confused, I checked my iacv and it looked fine and I tightened the fitv and the fixed my idling issue but now it starts a little rough and My rpm’s still go up when I give it a little gas. If I bring the rpms up it goes away but when I get to the certain area it does it still.. I’m really confused on what could be causing this.. it’s a d16z6 in a 96 civic frame. Any help please?

 

Make sure the throttle cable is not sticking or adjusted too tight. Check your TPS with a voltmeter.

 

another issue I have is my RPMs don’t show on the gadge and my speedometer does work either. My gas n temp shows fine tho. I bought a new cluster but it was for an auto and it did the same thing...

 

Checked fuse 15? Checked for ECU codes?
