H23a vtec blue top and stock p5m ecu
hey guys.
i finally pulled the h23vtec from the accord and threw it in the prelude. I waned things to be as simple as possible so I used the A4 oil pump/manifold/ distributor and injectors. Also did the manual swap. I知 still running the p5m automatic ecu.
car started right away, super smooth, only code I知 throwing is for the auto ecu. I値l fix that in the next few weeks.
car runs super well, waaaay smoother and stronger than I expected.

Question is... what drawbacks will I have running the obd2 p5m ecu?-vtec engagement needs adjusting? Honestly it feels awesome.-timing?-fuel maps? Will it run rich/lean?-h23 shouldn稚 be revved as high as the h22, I have done some redline shifts and she pulls like crazy.I do have a chipped ecu, adapter and phearable tune I could use but honestly I wanted to keep this simple. I know there is a ton of info posted on this, I have read it and there is soo much conflicting info that I figured it may be easier to ask, I値l read thru the mystery thread again and see what I can find but any input would be appreciated. And just a note, it runs awesome, no issues. I have not hooked up the wideband yet so I知 not sure what to expect, actually I have not even broken out the timing gun, I expected to spend a few days just getting the car to start and a few more chasing cels but nope, super easy seap
about using H22A4 ecu:
but of course if you have chipped ecu then you can get more accurate map/tune for your engine

-intake manifold
-dizzy
-ignition coil
-oil pump
-crank sensors
-motor harness
No need for any extra wiring or special ecu. If you swapped these parts over, car would run normal.

Yea all of that is clear. I'm just wondering where the tune is lacking, The 2.3 bottom end should "should" create some gaps in the tune. I'm just wondering if I should be worried at all. Again.. it is running excellent, no issues, very straight forward swap if you swap all of the above.
engine specific tune is always the best option since 2 engines with same ecu will act little bit different because they both have weared differently
