Default OEM Keyless entry system

I'm pretty sure this posts needs to be moved to a different location for more specific electrical discussion(s). I have a 97 civic hx manual. How do I know if a keylesse entry system is/was already installed? And IF I don't have a the keyless system, are these the parts needed to install an OEM keyless entry system? 08E51-S01-101F. 08E61-S01-1000. 8E55-S01-100G. Thanks HT. HAPPY HOLIDAYS.

I suppose that’s an option. Thanks. Just out of curiosity, why would you go that route? I think it would be easier and I’m paying for install. Also, what’s wrong with sticking to OEM parts? Maybe I should’ve been more specific in my question. Does anyone know where exactly the keyless entry parts are located behind the dashboard? Still need to verify.

I believe part of the OEM keyless system in the 96 and 97 is integrated with the AM/FM radio. In other words you have to use a factory radio or leave the factory radio hooked up and hide it behind the dash when installing an aftermarket one.

You can bypass the keyless feature without having to leave the stock radio connected.
