Have an imported 1.7 litre petrol Edix which is the Frv in europe. only 50k on clock. When starting hot or cold, dash lights flickers between battery and engine management light until it goes into limp mode. This takes about 20 seconds. All dash clocks and gauges work until limp mode begins and then the rev counter, temp gauge and gear light cluster (Auto) all stop working. Very heavy on fuel and strong smell of carbon monoxide. Thinking EGR valve and or possible electrial fault. previous owner had timing belt changed and when this problem came up after being parked for 6 months, sold the car to me although i understand he tried to have diognostics plugged in but no readings whatso ever. Any help?
