First off, I'm new here. I used to be a part of another Honda forum, but find it to be much more informative and all around better here. Anyways, I am currently in the process of converting my manual doors to powered ones; powered windows, mirrors, locks to be exact. I am following the thread of twistedimage for this job and I must say it is very easy and straight forward; it just makes the most sense. Thanks for that!
However, as I am now working on my driver's side I have come across some sort of mystery plug. I have no idea where this connector would originally go and it seems to be connected to the green fuse connector, mirror switch, ground, and continues to the other side of the dashboard harness to five other connectors which I believe is the clock, hazard, defroster, fog, etc. Could anybody confirm this for me? I am guessing it is alright to disconnect it from my makeshift driver side sub harness but I just want to make sure what this plug actually is for? Just in case.
Thanks a bunch!
This is the strange brown connector in question, the wiring leads to other switches which I do need for the swap. The wire that connects to the brown mystery one is the black and yellow on the left. The same black/yellow wire then meets upstream the power mirror switch and is soldered here with the same colored wire. One of the other wires from the mystery brown connector also goes to the ground which is nearest the driver's door (close to fuse box). The ground wire and two other wires from the mystery brown connector then go to this bundle which I've wrapped up. There are five other connectors here, two small gray ones, a small and thin green one, another bigger gray connector, and a blue one as well. I suspect these are the fog, defrost, clock, hazard, etc. lights. Anybody could help me out?
Find out what year you have then get the service manual with schematic for the car.
The model year of any USDM car is coded into one of the digits of the VIN, don't remember exactly how but that is easy to find out online.
Also it would help if you untangle the wires and lay them out on a plain background and take pictures with better light.
I'll have a look at the year and schematics then; will also get this untangled and take a more detailed picture once I'm home in a few days and if I haven't yet figured it out. Thanks!
Yes. I'm sure you're an expert in this but like me, and I think I speak for many others here, the forums are created as a means to learn and help one another. I'm new to electrics and would like to learn from you and many others here so kindly show a little respect.

ACC = switch ignition. Meaning it will provide voltage only when the key is in that position "ACC" via relay/switch. It's not constant battery power.
