Default Can’t figure out this hose

This view is from the back of th engine compart looking towards the front of the car.
i have a leak it seems from a hose under my distributor cap to my firewall. It caused my car to over heat a couple times and now I hear a dry whirring sound coming from the spot it’s leaking at.

It’s this hose

that 80403 number on the hose is a part number. probably Dayco. just try and clean the metal nipple when you replace it. mine was pretty crusty. haha....nipple....

What dsol said. That is already a third party replacement hose. Removing the distributor will make it much easier to work on that fitting. Before removing the bolts, mark the position so you can put it back with the same timing. Also you probably don't have to disconnect any wires.

I cannot emphasize this strongly enough. Been there, done that. Don't repeat the same mistake I did by not marking the position on the distributor.
