engin bump
Did the car run fine before the battery change?
How many miles on the engine?
When were the valves last checked/adjusted? Tuneup?
Any CEL codes stored? What are they?
If the car has not had a tuneup in a while then the PCM may need to learn that certain components are worn and it will run rough until it either relearns or sets a code.
Do the '01 cars require a security code to unlock the radio? Earlier cars would just have 'CODE' and you would need a 5 number code to unlock the radio. If you tried the wrong code too many times the radio would then display 'ERROR'. Have to disconnect power or radio memory to reset.
Check for a credit card in your owners manual that has the radio code on it, or check the glovebox for a sticker. There will be two numbers use the top 5 number code is your radio code.
If the radio does not allow you to put in the code then you may need to disconnect power to the car to clear the memory.
If you still are not able to fix the radio, you may have to pull it out, to get the serial number.
Then call Honda of America, update ownership information(if not already done), and then give them the serial number to confirm your radio code.
