F20b ek swap help
Looking to swap one in my 98 hatch. I've searched a ton and it seems like there's not much info on this swap out there. So far from my research it seems like I'll need hasport mounts/axles and a manual version of the F20b with a t2t4 trans (manual has higher power the auto and people say that's the best trans with that engine and it comes with a lsd). I can't find any info on how to wire up the engine properly to run the stock F20b Ecu, going from obd2a-obd2b. Does it have the junk tensioner like some h22's? Do I need a rear engine mount? Any help will be greatly appreciated
why are you keeping it obd2? follow the same instructions as the h22 as far as the install goes. the balance shaft isn't "junk" on these engines, it's just another part that can fail.
I had a dumb idea that I might be able to pass a smog test if I kept it obd2, from what I've seen after some more research it doesn't seem like the smog equipment can "talk" to a jdm ecu so it'll probably be smart to go obd1 with it. Is there a reputable chipped ecu that I should buy or a hondata? I'm basically going to leave the swap stock, My goal is reliability
