Default 88 CRX sunroof - one side won't drop down

Greetings. The only thread I could find on this was six years old, so I figured I'd start a new one instead of hijacking that old one. My 88 sunroof wasn't closing (dropping into place) on the passenger side. Driver side would seat itself fine. Reading through other posts, I figured I had a broken bump stop in the track as people had said. Pulled it apart, replaced all the stops, which were still in great condition, then as I was bolting it all back, I could see the one side was not dropping in as it should.

In that old thread, Tyson spoke of a broken white "clip" maybe that could cause it, but never found that or any pieces. Does anyone have a pic of what I should be looking for to use as reference? I also cleaned the switch up good and that wasn't the problem. Could this be a motor problem? I never use the sunroof, so I'm guessing I could just crank it shut and be done with it.

Thanks for the reply. I replaced all those thinking it was the problem, and they were fine. I found something that I bet relates on an old thread search from another site. The rear lift mechanism probably went out. I think the only way to fix is put an entire new sunroof in. Certainly not something I'm too excited about. I'll just spin it down and call it a day.

It doesn't break in pieces. And you're screwed. It's not replaceable separately.

Question if anyone might be able to help here. Looking at the manual, I am not able to positively tell if this is the part honda calls LIFT UP LINK. Any guidance would be great. Referencing the gold part at the end of the track.

thanks
