thinking about 2009-2010 6 speed tsx what can i expect?
lest get the obvious out of the way. im well aware of how slow the car is stock and it is heavy..
now thats done
im stuck between 2007-2008 tsx 6 speed and 2009-2010 tsx 6 speed. i like the looks and feels of 2010 tsx but it seems like 2007-2008 has more potential for faster times
is 13 seconds possible on this car all motor without extensive internal work?
im ok with doing some weight reduction like removing the vibration dampeners throughout the car and removing spare tire etc the basic stuff that can be put back on if it all saves me about 100-200 lbs it will be ok possibly replacing the power steering with MR2 electric power steering even replacing front seats with racing seats or at least s2000 seats or something similar i dont care about the power seats anyway
what can i expect with basic boltons and a tune (short ram header and a dyno tune)
or
what would be the best bang for the buck without breaking into internals on that motor?
i was thinking of doing short ram intake with v stack
header something like dc or ebay most i can afford is about 300 bucks to spend on header
lightweight flywheel
keeping stock exhaust
llightweight wheels
i already have RBC manifold and rbc throttle body(but i belive its recommended to get at least 70mm or the j35/j37 TB i think is what people are using
i also have k20 modified oil pump but no oil pan of baffle
and a set of 2006 tsx cams( i was planning to use those on my 2004 but that one is gone now)
and i have a set of ID 1000 injectors from previous project
i really cant find much solid info on this because every thread i looked at so far turns into trolls repeating same thing over and over (car is slow and heavy etc) and no useful info is found .
im sure its been covered somewhere before. if yo know the thread please link me to it
