Icon5 Help 05 nonvtec swap vtec

So i swapped an 05 d17a1 to an 02 d17a2 engine everything went together perfectly and has been running great even though my wire harness doesnt have the vtec pigtail. I was just driving this morning, but now it wont even turn over, battery is good. I am stumped from this point on. I was thinking maybe has to do with original ecu running a vtec engine. If you can help that would be awesome thanks for ur time.

Have you tried getting a wire and jumper the starter direct from the positive Battery?

key off, in neutral with the park brake on, from positive battery terminal jumper to S terminal on starter. If it cranks you likely have a good battery and starter, and motor isn’t seized. Still have the battery checked with proper equipment.

If you turn key on and try what I explained you can turn the car on. Just be carful not to run yourself over!
