93 Civic Del Sol - Why does SRS light flash on when turn steering wheel?
Hi, my 93 Honda Civic Del Sol SRS light flashes on and off when I turn the steering wheel while driving. Please help, any advice is Much appreciated!
Power steering? Low on fluid? If not I’d just go behind the cluster and put some black electrical tape on the bulb.
+1 the clock spring (officially the "cable reel") makes electrical connection between circuits on the wheel like the air bag and horn buttons and the rest of the car.
If the SRS controller detects a break in the circuit, it will turn the light on. This means that the air bag may not deploy in a crash.

Cable reel is easy to replace, and last time I looked...pretty cheap on ebay (I think the Integra one is also interchangeable but not 100% sure). You will need to remove the steering wheel and steering column covers 1st. Then properly center the new reel by aligning the marks before installing it.
