Default Tach jumping with turn signal

So! I’ve been having a new issue with my EF. Today on the way to work, the tach would jump with the turn signals, the wipers were super slow and then when I pulled in to work and tried to re start my car, it wouldn’t crank. I pulled the battery and threw it on the tester at work, it tested good after charging for a while. Could be bad alternator? The grounds in the engine bay are all good, recently sanded any contact points for the grounds to bare metal.

The alternator is new from work (well, it’s a reman, but still. The first one I got was bad and barely ran the car, so I replaced it with one that bench tested well.)

any other ideas on what it could be? I’ll test the alternator on my lunch after I throw the battery back in and let y’all know.

Okay. So, threw the battery in, looks like the alternator failed again. 12.47 volts.

Have it rebuilt locally of buy new. DO NOT BUY A REMAN FROM ADVANCE, AUTO ZONE OR ANY OTHER SIMILAR OPERATION. IT WILL FAIL AND YOU WILL GROW WEARY OF SWAPPING OUT THE LIFETIME WARRANTY PART.
