i have a b20b non vtec swap in my ek coupe with a automatic obd2b computer (i have a p28 ready to be chipped computer just waiting for my obd2 to obd1 jumper harness to come in) and recently my rpms started to jump up and down when idling and sometimes when moving in gear it feels like it wants to bog out. The check engine light is flashing showing me about 7 different codes but im not sure what they can be considering i have the incorrect computer. Should i just wait till i can put in my p28 in and then run it for codes or can i still use the codes its giving me now???? If someone knows whats happening lmk. I need help pleasee

 

The idling is because the auto OBDII uses a 3-wire IACV which you no longer have. Also your fuel maps are for a 1.6 liter engine but now you have 2.0. Surprising it drives at all like that.

 

They should know better than to run any other ecu other than either a p75 5spd or a 5spd chipped ecu with a proper basemap.

 

Or if you can find one, a USDM b20 ecu

 

i have a usdm m/t b20 ecu.

 

it was idling fine just a few days ago thou . it just recently started jumping up and down in the rpms using the same computer.

 

the check engine light threw code 54 and i looked at the codes for obd2 and it came up as crank fluctuation sensor. Could this be the reason????

 

Again the CKF is a part that the OBDII Civic ECU expects to find, but is not on your engine.

You really should stop driving the car until you get the proper ECU installed.
