check all the fuses in the engine bay, check that the yellow/black wire going to the distributor has power, make sure the distributor connectors are plugged in fully and not corroded

Did all except for testing the distrib @ the wires u spoke of. but.... i checked the ignition switch with a multi meter and it failed soooooo gonna give it try?!

You could check out a couple of YouTube videos by Schrodinger's Box called the FASSTEC method (stands for Fuel, Air, Spark, Timing at the crank, etc)
