Default A new front end noise...

Trying to figure out where a new noise is coming from on my car, here’s a quick rundown on what’s happening.

There is is a metal on metal clunking sound coming from the driver’s side wheel area. My first thought was a loose lug nut because it sounded oddly similar to when I lost a wheel on an old car, but the jugs are tight

Its not constant, I can get it to make the noise slightly by wobbling the steering wheel at lower (30mph) speeds, or by letting off the gas and blipping the throttle at higher RPMs. It sounds similar to a clunk I hear/feel when shifting gears, but different that the popping I get from the passenger side tie rod I think is going/gone

I dont feel it in the wheel, or really anywhere noticeable while driving.

Due to the weather and seemingly immediate sunset I haven’t had a whole lot of time the last couple days to look at it, so if anyone has some places to look that would be great

Update. I was taking a look at things, and after checking every bolt and bushing in my suspension, thinking something might be loose, I also took a look at my motor mount. From the looks of it, it has either seriously worn down, is missing half of the rubber/material (all below the bolt) or I’m expecting too much from the mount. From the top it looks fine, but I can see plenty of daylight underneath the bolt. I haven’t found anything else that is external and loose, and it from the sound of it the mount would be in the right spot to be making that noise, so that’s my current guess. Seeing as they could be 25+ years old, i’m guessing that it wouldn’t be too bad to replace it.

When replacing the mount, is it cool to just do the one, or is that more of the kind of thing where you should do all of them at one time? Probably just going to go with an OEM or equivalent one, no need for anything more aggressive than that

Got a chance to replace the one that was rubbing yesterday and the noise I was trying to eliminate is reduced, but I’ve still got a clunking on sudden forward and backward movements. Vibrations felt in the wheel and on the shifter are pretty much gone so that’s a plus, and I have to say that it was a much easier job than I expected it to be.

Guessing that something somewhere in the suspension in moving when it shouldn’t, If I get a chance I may try to get it on a lift at work to take a look but with the weather I may have to live with it for a while, and put it off until I get the chance to replace my brakes, rotors and anything else that comes upon on the front end.
