2015 Honda Civic LX approx 20,000 km - Started noticing on occasions (like once a week) in September that the doors would not unlock when I'd push the button on my FOB and would result in me using my key to get in the car. By October it was about 75% of the time it would not work. I would hit the button several times, and even hold it down for a long period of time but still nothing. I tried it with both FOB (the second FOB had never been used yet so the battery was fine) The front/back lights flash when the buttons are pushed as does the light on the FOB light up. Took it in to local Honda dealership, who thought it was a faulty fuse box so they replaced it however it is still happening. Would this be a door lock accuator problem or a computer problem??? Also when you hit the lock button, you can hear a noise from the door that which I can only describe a sound similar to pigeons which only started making right before all this started to happen.

 

May be an issue with Immobilizer-Keyless Control Unit (which has a built-in receiver).
