Default 1999 crv transmission dead?

Hi guys! My woman uses this as a mail delivery vehicle. It has always shifted kinda funny. She put some lucas in it, against my advice, but she swore it helped. Neither one of us knew it required specific fluid.
Well one day she said it was really acting up and the next morning it drove about 1/4 mile and quit moving, just like it slipped into nuetral.
Once it sits for an unknown amount of time, it will move again, then quit. I have changed the fluid twice but no improvement. What I drained out was nasty.
I read something about the shift solenoid, the solenoid screens, and maybe gunk in pickup screen. What do you guys think? I haven't checked the codes yet.

All of the above. Plus maybe dirty fluid thats never been changed and/or burnt up clutch pack. Either rebuild or swap it out for low millage trans. How many miles? get back to us with the codes but there are a TON of articles just like this.

Only power train codes were for O2 sensor and wheel speed sensor. Trans works for about a minute or so and then quits. Shut it off for about 5 minutes and it will work again. Tested solenoids, checked screens, seem ok.
