Honda CRV 2004, I woke up and ignition was turn on without the key, it turned on itself

 

 

An object at rest tends to stay at rest unless acted upon by an outside force
Ignition key does not turn by itself
Someone or something turned it

You may have thieves in the neighbor hood????
Or a faulty ignition cylinder which allows one to get key out before turning it all the way to off??
But, no one will ever know for sure???
