So I'm trying to purchase a cat to pass the b.s. smog laws here in cali, .....I'm shown several diffrent models, some c.a.r.b compliant, some not. But it asks for engine family, which, sombody peeled the i.d. sticker off under the hood, so that's great.....anyone know a site where u can punch in your Vin and it'll give u specs?

 

Oh, it's not the engine type, ( I've found its a d16y8, they wanna know engine family?)

 

If you are in cali then you need cali emission type cat. you can call your local honda dealer.
