Default Smoking when cold

Ive got a strange oil/smoke issue.
When I first set off in the car, it burns oil and I get a puff of smoke for the first few blasts.
Then it stops and is fine for the rest of the journey.
Its not a savage amount. Around 2mm on the dipstick after a 120 mile blast.
Engines a UK C4 (your C1 I think)
Any ideas?

Usually if the valve guides are worn and stem seals are shot, oil will go down the valve stem and into the chamber as it sits overnight. The first time you start after sitting you will see it.

I wouldn't be concerned, just stay on top of your oil level.
