2003 Civic Won't Start
Hi.
As I was driving along, my engine came to a stop, and the battery light came on, then I decellerated.
Jump starting had no effect.
When trying to start the car, it turns over I think but then stalls almost immediately.
An auto shop tested for compression, air volume, spark, fuel delivery, and all were good, so they suspect the issue is timing related but it's going to take labor to determine if timing belt has jumped time.
Suggested services: completely remove timing cover and set timing to proper specs.
So what do you all think? Should I go with this extensive repair, or just total it using my insurance from an accident 2 days prior to it dying.
