Default B18C5 blow by - PCV valve and oil catch can help

Hello all - noob here so my apologies in advance.

Have done some searching and reading up, but I recently bought an EK hatch with a B18C5 swap in it and an oil catch can installed.
Currently after a high RPM pull, on deceleration I notice smoke out the back.

From from searches, its been noted it may be a PCV issue. I'm planning to replace the PCV , however I've been looking at pictures online and my oil catch can installation seems unusual where both the PCV and valve cover vent are both fed into a single line to the catch can like below:

Is this a correct installation? May this cause problems ?

Thanks in advance

Yes you can tee off both PCV into one.

Rather than into an empty bottle, it should be going back to intake. What you have there is essentially an atmo vent catch can setup.

I'm not a catch can guru myself but it looks like you don't have a vacuum source to suck the blow by air out of the crankcase. As the post above says, instead of going into a bottle you should route the exit hose back into the intake manifold through the stock source where the original PCV line would.

^^ thanks guys, I'll try making that connection today. I do some residual oil in the lines so that might be a reason why I'm blowing smoke on high RPM.
