Just recently my Teg has started to hesitate when accelerating. I can be cruising at 35-45 and push on the gas and it will hesitate/buck then go. The same thing happens when I'm driving at 75-85 and decided to step on the gas and accelerate to 100 plus. It will hesitate/buck then go. The other thing that sounds funny is when the vtec kicks it gets loud and then seems to quite down some then get loud again. Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated. I'll be changing the fuel filter this week once it gets in. I will be looking at spark plugs and testing fuel injectors to see if any of them are out.

 

I am not a mechanic at all. First thing I'd check is the oil level. Vtec doesn't like it when there's low oil.

 

Possible bad spark plug wires..check those too

but that was from a dead stop.
sounds more like icm or coil going.
bad icm will often create tach freakout.
i'd test all spark sources.
