01 civic lx 4dr drives for 6-10 miles and goes in limp mode

01 civic lx 4dr drives for 6-10 miles and goes in limp mode
I have no problems starting was no catalytic converter on the car mechanic said the TDC sensors showed up when it was put on the diagnostic would it only be that sensor or could it be something more serious
