Kturbosquirtle's K20 Turbocharged Build Progress Thread
This is a continued thread being that my old thread was deleted for whatever reason but the show must go on ;
I originally set myself to build a stock oem k20a2 turbo swap in my 1993 Civic eg.
i wanted to test the limits on a stock oem motor. Didnt want to open the motor to make any upgrades just a slap and go. I was bashed on my thread for reasons like having an a expensive turbo and leaving the head completley stock. Over time i got put on to some really nice deals so i caught myself buying upgrades to slowly build myself a reliable 600+ Hp street car.
Here is the breakdown on Squirtle {the car}
Motor:
-k20a2 types motor ( stock sleeves )
-10.1 Arias pistons
-eagle rods
-supertech valve springs and retainers
-stock valves
-stock head ports
...
i try to be as simple as possible enough to make good power and hold it
Bolt ons:
-skunk2 ultra manifold w/ 90mm k tuned throttle body
-2200 Boch injectors
-twin 044 Fuel pumps
- running car on e85
Transmission:
-stock 6 speed type S ( non lsd )

I went through a couple tuners until i was satisfied with Many (Chameleon tuning) located out in Long island
i couldnt be happier, i ran into a couple minor issues like wrong spark plugs and wrong boost controller but we quickly got that situated and got on to making some power.
Now for the people who has followed my last thread i told you guys that my power goal would be 600+ Hp being that i have a super light and gutted shell, thats all i think i would need to have fun and hit a 9.99 at the track.
Well the car ended up making 661hp @ 27-28 psi revving it up to 9200.... decided to lower it to about 450 so i can drive it daily and not have to worry about breaking my stock tranny
i have a **** load of fuel left to play with, ive noticed that the last 2 pulls , the tuner took out more fuel and the car made more power ... very shocking
This is with stock cams and a ebay cooler.... my next immediate goal is to get a nice thick cooler and get some stage 2 cams and a Gear X 1-4 and see if i can make 900 :x
At this point i have minor things to add on the car like seat belts, a hood, a wheel alignment and wire up my headlights and i can go to the track and dial it in... i give it about 2 weeks untill i have it ready for that
First time going to the track imma shoot for 10.9 first pass hopefully breaking 9.99 pb wish me luck
