Default Serious electrical gremlin or poltergeist? You decide!

Hey all,

I have a 2001 accord sulev 4cyl. Had a serious weird glitch happen today: Driving home from work, 2-3 miles into the trip... flip on the blower and ALL the dash indicators light up, the doors, the abs, the brake light, everything! All the lights on the indicator... I flip the air off and drive slowly to pull over. Now it's just a few dash lights like abs, engine, service are lit. I turn the car off... turn it back on and everything is fine. Idles fine, I flip on the air, heat, ac, click all the dash buttons... and everything is normal again. WTF?

To be honest this car has been a basket case... just when I thought I had all the issues sorted... it's possessed by the devil I tell you. This has never happened before... what might cause that bizarre glitch?

Possible issue with alternator or connection. A charging issue can cause other electrical gremlins.

Well this car has chewed through 3 alternators, each one giving the CYP sensor error code. Granted these were the cheapest POS's I found from 1a auto. I got a decent hitachi distributor in there now and it seems fine so far. I did find it suspect that 3 distributors have gone bad in a row. The car is also on it's third alternator... original stopped charging, swapped in a replacement and it was bad out of the box, got another replacement and all is well.

I have replaced the transmission twice on this car so I am pretty familiar with it, no visible connection issues in the engine, and car is running fine since this weird error. What should I look into next?

Update:

This weird problem happened again. After running around town for 1 hour.. I am driving up a hill and turn on my brights. The engine stutters and the lights dim but it keeps driving. I turn on the air/blower switch to see what will happen and causes ALL the interior lights to turn on, and the engine stalls. I turn it off and keep driving, and I experiment... blower on: car freaks out and dies. Blower off: car drives fine. I stop and turn the car off and on again and it is fine, no error lights... I keep driving and turn the blower on and nothing happens, car operates normally.

Wtf?

How do I diagnose this bizarre issue?

I'm thinking it's a ground issue, how is the ground terminal looking, is it corroded ?
