Default 99 accord lx brake and battery lights issues

Hey guys
I recently bought a 99 accord with 170k miles on it. The car has quite a few electrical issues from what I've noticed. The main problem I've had with is that It constantly stalls on both brake and battery lights go on and off while driving. The car has completely stoped on me 3 time since I bought it only once out of those 3 times it did not start again right away. I recently put in a new distributor due to a leak the mechanic read 5 error coded said the one coming From the distributor was the only that could cause the car to stop. It's Been 3 days since the distributor was changed as the car hasn't stoped on me yet but it is still stalling on me and both brake and battery light are still going on and off. I should mention that I got both my alternator and battery checked both are good.

normally when the battery light is coming on that's an issue with the alternator, you should test the voltage on a cold start, it should be putting out atleast 14 volts, then put the headlights on, it should still be putting out 14 volts or close to it, if not, and it's really low then it's bad and most parts stores do not have the capability to accurately test Honda alternators

and if the alternator is bad get a Denso from rockauto or at the very least a Pure Energy

I got the alternator checked at a local autozone and to be honest I didn't get The sense that the guy knew too much what he was doing. On a side note when I turn on my headlights my dashboard goes off i think that is just due to the previous owner miss installing audio and led lights on the car. Thanks got the input I will deff test out my alternator again on my next day off.

You need to check the alternator, as holmesnmanny suggested but I blame the modifications that have been made. Unplug your radio for starters and see what is going to happen. If that does not help do the same with the headlights and try to drive during the daytime when you do not need lights.

Good luck,
Sam

I disconnected the audio before getting the distributor fixed to no avail, as far as the headlights I found some info online saying it is a common issue when individuals install certain audios in this older cars I found how to fix it online haven't gotten around to it I just haven't found anything relating it to the stalling and stop problems. Ultimately I will if I have to.

Thanks for the input.

Hey guys so Today I got to start my car and it won't start it just makes a clicking sound. I drove it earlier today just to move it from one parking spot to another and it had no problems. I was about to head to shop to find out about my alternator and the car just won't start it is a very hot day idk if that could play into all this.

I have seen few YouTube videos about a burnt circuit board. Search for it.

For the no start conditions be more specific:

What does your car do? Clicks, rotates, hums.

Hey this is kind of embarrassing but earlier I worked on the headlight trying to fix the issue i hvve with the dash lights going and I guess the idiot I am left the headpights on. My battery had just got it charged up at autozone and the car is starting again. Now I just have to worry about the brake and battery light issue I'm heaving
