Returning to stock shocks.....reinstallation of springs??
Okay, I've got my lowering springs out. I've have plenty of experience with installing lowering springs but nothing for reinstalling the stock springs.
I tried to compress them with the typical compressor you get at AutoZone but was completely unsuccessful. I'd get them compressed enough the get the strut back together but the compressor would get stuck in between the coils of the springs.
I GAVE UP.
Someone just suggested to me to just put the top of the strut assembly back on the car then assemble the spring and strut to the lca and lower the car using the vehicles weight to compress the spring.
Will this work? It sounds logical although very difficult and somewhat dangerous.
Any opinions??

I guess I'm just gonna give it a try tonight. I'll let you know if I have all my fingers left when I'm done.

try using the jack to push the lca up and force compression, i'd try that before lowering the car down onto them.
