I recently purchased an original OEM car cover for my 1990 hatch. It is blue and in remarkably good shape. I would like to clean it but I have no idea what the cleaning instructions are. Does anyone here happen to know the Honda recommended cleaning process. I found an instruction sheet online dated 2012 that said to use Fantastik. Two problems with that; first I don't know if the 2012 instructions are applicable to a 1990 cover, second they stopped manufacturing Fantastik in 2014 (They sell a new product called "Fantastik with scrubbing bubbles" but it is not the same product that Honda specified in 2012.)

 

i acquired one a couple years back i treated any stains with normal laundry pretreat spray even liquid detergent would work on stains. i had almost no stains though. i washed mine on cold with normal tide detergent and fabric softener extra super large quadruple load machine at the laundry mat. don't be cheap use the biggest one you can find. i think it cost me like 8$. big machine. came out like new. super soft. looks choice.

 

i wouldn't throw it in the dryer however. i threw it over a ladder in the sun. it dried quick.
