2001 CRV just above the brightness control there is a mini LED (master switch power window control) What is this light for? seat belt reminder? and where do the red/blue wires connect to?
my wires were cut and I have no clue....

 

Do you know if there is or was an aftermarket alarm in the car? In mine there was n I had a randomly placed led light w 2 wires that came off it. It would light up when alarm was set. i can't remember where the wires went think to control box for alarm.

 

Yes, it had an alarm but I don't think it was AFTERMARKET, being wired in and part of the master window control switch. The wires are blue and red. When I pulled the switch out, I discovered that the wires had been cut. It looked to be intentional rather than from some sharp metal under the dash, and lord knows, there's plenty of that! I just wanted to know where the wires attach TOO. I was never able to see any other end of it?

 

Aftermarket alarm at some point in the vehicle's history, most definitely. Some previous owner removed one and left the led instead of a hole in the panel. If the car was ever sold as a Honda certified used vehicle, it would have had to have any aftermarket accessories removed to pass, or perhaps someone pulled it because it didn't work any more. Who knows.

 

Perhaps but it still has an alarm and another alarm indicator light that blinks from the stereo
