Metal Scraping noise and horn-like noise
Hey all,
I just noticed a noise that was occurring in my 2015 Civic-EX. It sounds like a sharp metal scraping sound, not necessarily a grinding noise, but definitely a scraping of metal against metal kind of noise. The noise stops completely when I apply the brakes. I've attached some recordings in the hopes that someone will be able to identify what the issue could be. In file 1, the noise starts at the 0:21 mark and can be heard for the rest of the clip. In file 2, the noise can be heard starting at 0:15 and intensifies as the clip goes on. I just bought the car certified pre-owned in May and it had about 17,500 miles on it. It now has about 22k. Any thoughts? In the last file (file 3), there is a different noise. This horn-like squeaking noise only occurs when I am in reverse. My foot is not applied to the brake and it happens almost every time I go in reverse. Any help is greatly appreciated!
