Default 95 civic for resto.... suggestions?

Hey guys, I'm new to Hondas. I'm a chevy guy in my heart. I've rebuilt several GMs and have never owned a Honda. I recently picked up a 95 Honda Civic EG... and I wanna make it nasty. I don't know a lot about honda engine codes and whatnot... So I'm looking for suggestions on engines. what fits, what doesn't fit, ..... rebuild or replace? things like that. any help or suggestions are much appreciated. Also.... my budget is very flexible.

Ideally, I want a car that is fast, has good power. possibly supercharged v turbo... I want to rebuild it RIGHT and not end up with a bullshit rice cooker. Im also thinking I want to add new suspension and 4x4 disc brakes. the interior... i'd like to ad the part at the bottom where you can add a touch screen. I'd also like to add power windows and locks and mirrors. I want to ad speakers in the back. and I'd also like to swap my lights and front end to resemble the integral maybe. I've seen swaps for an integral front end... but I want the rear lights to match. I don't see that I can do that because they don't make the Integra in hatchback. I also would like to swap the tranny for something a little more hi tech and 6spd. new digital gauges and sensors.

Advice on where to buy performance parts?

Anyway... all suggestions and recommendations are welcome. Thanks in advance guys.

The FAQ's at the top of this subforum are a great place to start answering your first round of questions. There are so many parts that swap back and forth on these chassis, it's good to read through and get an idea of what's possible... then you'll have good questions to ask.

You had my attention up until here:

Swapping front ends and molding in lights off of other cars is pretty much about as rice cooker as it gets. It's always hacked together, the body lines never flow, and no one is going to buy the car from you should you decide to get rid of it. If you want an Integra, get an Integra. Otherwise, build a Civic. BTW, Integras came as 4 door sedans or 3 door hatchbacks.

Thanks bro. Thats exactly why I ask these questions. Honest opinions go a long way with me. I'll have a look at the FAQ. The integral thing was just kind something I was thinking about. I saw it on a youtube vid and I thought the shape of the lights were cool. I'm currently researching engines. It seems I should go with k series, but i know nothing about the engines hondas use. so I'm kinda learning as I go at this point. I do definitely want a 6 spd though lol when I restore cars, I like to go all out. I'd rather spend the money for quality than half-*** it and end up with a POS . Summit Racing has gotten a LOT of money from me over the years lol Thanks again.

K-series is the way to go its what I'd like to swap into my EH8 sedan next year when I'm out of school. As for boosting go turbo, and look for the kit that fits your build, you find one you like look it up on here to see what's being said about it. Some kits are A/C friendly so you wont have to do an A/C but you have to find ones that work. Good Luck my man!
