transmission problem

Default transmission problem

hi i have a 97 150i honda civic mileage 155000kms, my manual gearbox when under load it make a winding sound, it started out only on first and 2nd gear but now it seems to be doing that until firth, what can it be and how can i stop this?

I would start by replacing the fluid.

Yes, or at least take the fill plug out and check that it is full.
If fluid is full, and you hear a substantial whirring / grinding noise while idling in neutral that goes away when you press the clutch down, the input shaft bearings are probably bad.
