Default Camber Kit v.s. Control Arms

Hey Guys,

Trying to upgrade my suspension. I have a dumb question on suspension: Can I get a camber kit AND lower control arms? Or is it just one or the other...

Part 2: Which one is better or what are the different Pros and Cons of each??

Thanks!!

What car?

I only know about the EKs (most EG & DC as well)... but I don't think I have ever seen a set of adjustable LCAs. I've only seen the Uppers for the front. The rears have adjustable Camber and Toe Links kits available, but the Trailing Arms and LCA at fixed locations.

EK! haha.. like you wouldn't get a camber kit WITH lower control arms, right? its either one or the other?

And how come people always just talk about getting lower control arms and not the upper control arms? Are the stock ones just fine?

Thanks man!

A "camber kit" is an adjustable front upper arm, nothing to do with the LCA's.

Or a "camber kit" can be an adjustable REAR upper control arm...

Ohhhh.. Camber kits are for the UPPER control arms.. and then you have front and rear LCA's.. right?!?!

So would anyone ever get a camber kit AND LCA's?? It seems like people only get one or the other...

Camber kits are used to make your camber adjustable.

People buy LCA's for:
-Because they like the car to look like its made of scaffolding.

-Lowering unsprung weight.

-Stock LCA/bushing is busted.

They're 2 different things for different purposes. Buy 1 or both or none. Up to you.

Because when you get to becoming too low, all of your clearances are gone. Let's the take the wheel for example. Front camber kits or bigger and wider than your stock upper control arms.

So now you have a big *** metal arm sitting right on your tucked 225/45/15's causing them to rub badly, in this case clearance will be so scarce if you want to maintain your height you'd have to get rid of them or raise the car.

i stay far away from them. Ever notice on slammed cars with a lot of camber only the back wheels pop out ? That's why

So I actually have front and rear camber kits... the car is pretty slammed.. i have always liked the look of those purple LCA's with the ASR subframe brace... would getting LCA's and the brace enhance my car at all eventhough I already have front and rear camber kits?

Unless you have an upgraded sway bar, the subframe brace isn't going to do you much good. Again, the camber kits have nothing to do with these parts. They aren't attached and one doesn't affect the other.
